It is located in the village of Kleive, at the eastern end of the Fannefjorden. The church is the only church in the Kleive parish which is part of the Molde arch-deanery in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden, octagonal church was built in 1858 in the Empire style. The church seats about 270 people.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Kleive kirke )〕 ==History== In 1589, historical records show that a stave church existed in Kleive. That is the oldest known church at that site. That church was demolished in 1697 and a new cruciform church was built to replace it.
